Five Good Ways to Take a Good Road Sign Picture

1. Location, location, location. Always slow down a bit when you approach the sign you want and if possible, pull over to the shoulder.

2. Weather always plays a roll in your picture. Of course, don't take a picture in the rain or you won't be able to tell if the sign says "North US-17" or "Pork PS-71".

3. Time. Always try to take pictures in the daylight. If you must turn the flash off or this will happen:

4. Choose a state of the art camera. I recomend a digital camera with at least 2 megapixles.

5. The background. Okay, so you found one of the coolest road signs, but it's in front of a toxic waste dump. That's where photo editing comes in. Cut the road sign out and paste it in a better background.

Follow these steps and you'll have the most professional picture of your favorite road sign in your collection.

Eventually, there will be a SC 31 extension into NC as NC 31 since there is no NC 31 at the moment. Theres a shortcut to get to US 17 NB from that point by giong up SC 9 NORTH/WEST then turn right at the first signal, the road is called Highway 57 but is not SC 57. At the NC line, the road is called Hickman Road and dumps you onto US 17 in Grisettown, 4 miles north of the SC/NC line.
