Western Alamance Growth

Over the past year, the area of Western Alamance County stretched farther outward due to the construction of University Drive.

University Drive I believe currently runs from the town of Elon to southwestern Alamance. It also includes connections with US-70 and the Interstate 40/85 Corridor.

Because of this new road, a shopping development has been built on University Drive at Interstate 40/85. It includes a Target, Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc. I go there occasionally and I have to tell you, it's amazing.

More growth is expected due to the construction of I think a Wal-Mart. We'll just have to wait and see.

I highly recomend going down there and checking that stuff out. You'll love it.
