Top 5 Multiplexes

Nothing can top an old fashion multiplex. You can be on two or more roads at once! Here are my top 5 multiplexes present and future.

5. US-29/70/220: This multiplex is located in Greensboro. At one time until the early 90's, US-421 was featured on this multiplex as well. The dominant route is US-29.

4. US-15/501: This multiplex runs from Laurinburg to Durham. This is a very famous multiplex because of the length. Length is a very important key element in a multiplex. The dominant route is US-15.

3. US-17/US-74/US-76/US-421: This multiplex is located in Wilmington. This is a very short multiplex, but it makes up for it with the Cape Fear River drawbridge. This bridge is my all time favorite bridge. The dominant route is US-17.

2. I-73/I-74: This multiplex will run from Greensboro to Rockingham (Not County). Currently, it is still a future designation and will remain a future designation until the late 2000's or early 2010's. The current dominant route is US-220 and the future dominant route will be I-73.

1. I-40/85: This multiplex runs from Greensboro to Hillsborough. This multiplex features everything from cities to countries and future bypasses. You can't get any better than this. The dominant route varies.
